Welcome to the web site of the Czech National Women's Teams. We hope that you enjoy learning about our players and programs. Currently the Czech National Women's Program consists of three teams—U16, U18 and Senior, or as it's referred in Czech as the "A Tym."
Beginning 2010 we will initiate our 2014 Development Team which will consist of our players who will be age-eligible and are projected to be possible members of our 2014 Olympic Team. We encourage those who are fans of our teams to feel free to email us if we can provide any information not available on our site.

Czech Women’s Development Committee announces IIHF High Performance Camp Nominations |
19 May, 2011, Prague, Czech Republic—The Czech Women’s Development Committee announced the nominations of 16 national team players to attend the first ever International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) High Performance Camp.
The camp with will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia from July 5th to the 12th is a result of an effort to accelerate the growth and quality of the women’s game.
“This has been in the works since last summer when the women’s committee met in Vierumäki, Finland and is something the planners are very excited about”, said Czech Team Development Director, James Craig.

Czechs Take Gold in IIHF Div II |

Caen, France—The Czech National Women's Ice Hockey Team swept the competition in the IIHF Division II World Championships.
With a stingy defense, and outstanding goaltending, the team gave up a mere 2 goals during the 4-game tournament. The 1st place finish elivates the Czech squad to IIHF Division I for the 2012 World Championships. |

Pecinová and Jirsová Named to 2014 Developmernt Team

Prague, Czech Republic—The Czech Women's Development Team added two players to the Olympic Development roster.
Adriena Pecinová and Veronika Jirsová, both of whom played for the Czech U18 team in Stockholm at the 2011 World Championships were added to the 29-player roster. "We feel very confident that both of these players display the talent and commitment that is needed to help our team advance in the world ranking" said head coach Karel Manhart |

Czech Team Mourns the passing of Ralph Vanetti Sr.

Chicago, USA—The Czech National Team was sad to learn of the passing of Mr. Ralph Vanetti Sr. A resident of the Chicago area, Mr. Venneti became a good friend of the team during the IIHF U18 World Championships held in Chicago. He was a pillar of the community, and a friend to hockey players everywhere. Our team will never forget his smiling face, his kindness and his love of the game. |

Vasichek Hired as Strength Coach
Prague, Czech Republic—The Czech National Women's Ice Hockey Team announced today the appointment of All-American, Julianne Vasichek as their program's strength and conditioning coach.
"We could not be more thrilled to have a coach with Julianne's winning history, and commitment", said Czech Women's Development Director, James Craig.
Born in Montana, USA, Vasicek, age 28 currently runs the strength and conditioning program at the North American Hockey Academy (NAHA) in Vermont, USA.
